Shiatsu & Ashiatsu
Shiatsu, or Japanese Acupressure, is a modality practiced either on a floor mat, table or massage chair, typically over a layer of clothing. Working with the meridian lines of the Traditional Chinese Medicine system, points are activated or sedated- depending on the energy state at any given point along the meridian being worked- with palm, finger, thumb or foot pressure, offering the recipient a rebalancing within the organ system or muscle group. Shiatsu can bring a general flow of enhanced well-being and offer treatment specific to present symptoms. It is often stated by many of my clients that they feel very relaxed and up-lifted after a Shiatsu treatment, enabling them to carry on with their day with a newness of energy. Ashiatsu is a type of therapy in which the therapist walks on the client's back, using bars and other props for support to vary pressure and weight, utilizing direct pressure and long gliding strokes to offer the body deep healing. This modality has its roots in Asia, but today, several different versions of Ashiatsu massage are practiced around the world.
Breema
Breema is traditionally practiced on the floor mat over a comfortable layer of clothing, but is very much incorporated in every modality that I practice, just by its very nature. It is a form of bodywork based in Nine Principles of Harmony: Body Comfortable, No Extra, Firmness and Gentleness, Full Participation, Mutual Support, No Judgment, Single Moment/Single Activity, No Hurry/No Pause, and No Force. Breema is non-diagnostic, but it can be extremely effective for producing a general sense of well-being which can work toward the end results of eliminating symptoms of disharmony in the body. I often recommend Breema for supporting the emotional body through times of distress. Breema helps to harmonize all three centers: mind, body & feeling centers. Click here to learn more about Breema.

Reflexology
Reflexology is a system of bodywork which addresses issues of the whole body via working with the points on the hands, feet and ears, offering an extremely relaxing and treatment oriented session. A typical reflexology session with me focuses on the feet, though I may choose to work the hands and/or ears depending on current symptoms.
Swedish & Deep Tissue
Traditional Swedish style massage is practiced on a massage table, using oils and/or lotions on the skin, incorporating long gliding strokes and specific techniques to work the musculature, encouraging release of physical tension in the body and overall relaxation of the nervous system. Deep tissue massage is a therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronically tense and contracted areas such as stiff necks, low back tightness, and sore shoulders.
Pre- and Post-natal Massage
Massage can be one of the most relaxing and nurturing things for the pregnant woman, relieving tensions manifested during this precious time while the body is changing in so many ways. Massage therapy performed during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches and joint pains, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health. Post-natal massage can also be extremely effective in helping with postpartum blues and general well-being.
Acutonics Tuning Forks
Acutonics Tuning Forks are used on points along the meridian lines of the Oriental Medicine system, to facilitate and enhance flow of energy and relax tension in specific muscular regions.
CUPPING
The suction from the cups increases circulation to the area where the cups are placed. The additional blood flow to that area can help relieve muscle tension and promote cell repair. Increasing circulation with cupping also helps to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
